Author Jonathan Conyers came to The Inn, part of Waveny LifeCare Network, with one of his mentors Fred Murphy to share his inspiring journey with our residents and guests. “I Wasn’t Supposed to be Here” details Jonathan’s life, from growing up homeless in Harlem with caring but drug-addicted parents to becoming a teenage dad trying to attend Stony Brook University and ultimately realizing his dream of getting into medical school. Jonathan had us enthralled and left us in awe of his amazing attitude of determination and perseverence!
