Waveny Breaks Ground on New Rehabilitation Center and Launches $15+ Million “Build the Future of Care” Campaign
On May 27, Waveny LifeCare Network celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 41,000-square-foot short-term, inpatient rehabilitation facility that will allow Waveny to serve more than 400 additional rehabilitation patients annually – while launching its public “Build the Future of Care” fundraising campaign to raise more than $15 million in philanthropic support.
The groundbreaking marked the beginning of a transformational healthcare investment designed to address growing regional demand for rehabilitation services and critical healthcare workforce shortages. Read more.

Waveny Proposed Life Plan Community
Waveny LifeCare Network is exploring creating a nonprofit Life Plan Community on town-owned land west of Lapham Road, between the Merritt Parkway and Route 106 referred to as Parcel E of the Waveny Zone – currently the town mulch field. While the concept is in early stages, Waveny is beginning a public information and listening process so residents, neighbors, town officials, commissions, and community stakeholders can learn more, ask questions, and help identify what must be vetted before any formal request is made.
